About the Canada Place cruise cam

This live cam looks out over Canada Place, Vancouver's cruise terminal, from a private waterfront vantage — close enough to read a ship's name as it docks. In a single frame you get all of the cruise berths (East, North, West and Southeast), the boats and Harbour Air seaplanes crossing Coal Harbour, the downtown skyline, Stanley Park, the Lions Gate Bridge, and the North Shore mountains rising behind it all. When a ship arrives you'll usually see it on camera about an hour before its posted arrival time, gliding in under Lions Gate and swinging into its berth — and again in the late afternoon for the sailaway.

Canada Place has anchored Vancouver's waterfront since it opened for Expo 86 in 1986. Its five white sail-like roofs house the cruise terminal on the lower levels, the Vancouver Convention Centre above, and FlyOver Canada at the west end. On a busy summer morning it's common to see three or four cruise ships in port at once, with container vessels waiting out in the inlet and floatplanes threading between them.

Vancouver's 2026 Alaska cruise season

2026 is the busiest Alaska cruise season in the port's history — 78 ships across 29 cruise lines, from 348-metre Quantum-class megaships down to a 45-metre expedition yacht. The season runs from spring through October, with most ships sailing the Inside Passage to and from Alaska. Vancouver is the classic Alaska departure port, so many of these are round-trip sailaways you can watch begin right here. New this year: Virgin Voyages' Brilliant Lady, the return of Crystal Symphony, two Disney ships in port together, and the ultra-luxury Ritz-Carlton Luminara. See the whole route on our Alaska cruise cams page.
